Week 7 is over and thank goodness. It was just the worst in everyway possible. Bad football is still better than no football but just barely this week. Here is what happened in week 7 in our inaugural fantasy football league.
Rollin W Mahomes 126.40 over Reid Between the Lines 83.80
Rollin w Mahomes was rolling with Jonathan Taylor, Bucky Irving, Braelon Allen and Zay Flowers all scoring over 18 points. Reid Between the Lines had no such luck with only Jameson Williams scoring more than 15 points. Both teams started the wrong quarterbacks. Reid went with Kyler Murray over Kirk Cousins that cost him almost 10 points. Meanwhile, Rollin w Mahomes went with Bryce Young over Dak which cost him a whopping 22 points. Luckily, for him it didn’t matter. Reid Between the Lines falls to 3-4 and Rollin W Mahomes moves to 4-3.
Goedert Done Just in Time 126.96 over Stranger Things 120.08
Goedert Done Goedert their 3rd win led by Judkins, Javonte Williams, Jordon Love and Lamb all scoring over 20 points. Stranger Things actually had a good week and Bo Nix actually did something for her subbing in for Josh Allen as he contributed 28 points. St. Brown added 21 and Swift added 17 but in the end it wasn’t strange enough for a victory. She falls to 2-5.
Tyler’s Losing Team 123.08 over Chase’s Cherry Mash 123.08
Chase’s Cherry Mash called their shot a couple of weeks ago and won 2 in a row but they couldn’t make it a streak by winning their 3rd. Caleb Williams, Kyren Williams, Brock Bowers and Chase all did well scoring in double digits. He was even almost saved by his kicker but unfortunately the Cowboys scored too many tds and not enough field goals. If Tyler’s Losing team keeps winning they might have to change their name. It was a true team efforts as 6 of his 9 starters scored 10 or more points led by Burden and Higgins who both had over 21. They move to 3-4 while Chase’s Cherry Mash falls to 2-5.
The G.I. Joes 92.38 over The Commish 90
I don’t want to talk about it.
Pick Six 134.06 over Mo Money $ 131.94
In the second closest game of the week Pick Six got their sixth win. 6 was the magic number I guess as 6 of his players scored 15 or more points. Another one scored exactly 6 and the other one scored 3 which is half of 6. Meanwhile, Mo Money had to be the only team in all of fantasy football that didn’t win while starting Tony Pollard and his ridiculous 37 points. JSN added 28 and Drake Maye had 33 and it still wasn’t enough to top Pick Six who is in first place for a reason. Just a brutal way to lose. I guess this week they had Mo problems than money.
Kemna’s Convoy 112.62 over Nacua Matada 68.70
In the biggest win of the week and maybe the season, the Convoy rolled over Nacua Matada who probably should have worried a little bit about their line up. The Convoy had a solid week let by Stafford and his 23 pioints plus 18 from Ollie Gordon and 15 from the Vikings D. Meanwhile Nacua Matada decided to go all Hoosiers and say my team is on the court leaving 5 of his 9 starting spots empty due to byes and injuries. If he would have just played Joe Burrow and Concepion, he would have won. Both teams are now 3-4.
My other Fantasy leagues:
It was just a brutal week as I lost in all 4 yahoo leagues and my only victory was in my wife’s work league. I’m just 18-17 overall but I still think 4 of 5 teams are solid. In this league, I lead the league in points and am still in 3rd even though I’m just 4-3. I’m 4-3 and fourth in another league because I played a guy who had Tony Pollard and Geno Smith which any other week of the season would have been great. But I’m still second in points in there. I’m 3-4 in another league and in 8th place but again, I’m 3rd in points. So I got a good shot in all 3 of those leagues. I’m 5-2 in Danielle’s work league and looking good there. Finally, the family league is a disaster. I’m 2-5 and in 13th place. I can’t really afford another loss. But I’ll keep fighting the good fight because that’s what heroes do.
Good luck to everyone in their fantasy leagues this week. Unless I’m playing you…then I hope you have a terrible week. I need some wins, dang it!
