Well, my reign in first place last a whole week as I took a beating this week. But that is the ups and downs of fantasy football. Let’s dive into week 6 of our inaugural season.
Reid Between the Lines 136.8 over The Commish 89.82
The combination of his team playing really well and my team not playing well led to this beatdown. Tyler Shough had a nice game for me scoring 33 points but everyone else underperformed. Parker Washington and Christian Watson both dropped touchdowns which didn’t help. And Bijan only got me 6 points. It was a rough day all around but we will bounce back. Reid Between the Lines overcame a bad game from Derrick Henry with a great one from Kenneth Walker. Cousins, DK Metcalf and Isaiah Likely all had big games too. I did not like what I Reid between the Lines. It was an unfriendly story. I fall to 4-2 but still lead the league in points and he jumps to 3-3.
Tyler’s Losing Team 133.32 over Kemna’s Convoy 73.26
Tyler’s Losing team had a big blow out win as well over Kemna’s Convoy. His team was led by Rodgers, the Steelers D and Christian McCaffrey. There was also a rare Kyle Pitts sighting who contributed with 20 points. Meanwhile Kemna’s Convoy got over 20 points from Stafford and Hubbard but no one else on his team hit double digits. It was a rough game for the Convoy and they will look to bounce back next week. Both teams are now 2-4.
Nacua Matada 116.18 over Mo Money $ 104.02
Nacua Matada should have changed his name weeks ago. He’s 2-0 since making the change. He was led this week by Trevor Lawrence who scored him 37 points. Mo Money has Mo problems due to AJ Brown, Pollard, his kicker and his defense all scoring less than 10 points. But the real low point was Marshawn Lloyd who scored him exactly 1 point. Mike Evans, Puka, Drake London and others all pitched in for Nacua Matada but it was Lawrence who made the difference. Both teams are now 3-3.
Pick 6 102.02 over Goedert Done Just in Time 94.96
In one of our closer games Pick 6 continued their winning ways. They over came Skattebo scoring zero points and having to start Daniel Jones (woof). The team was oddly saved by Tre Tucker who rattled off 24 points and Blake Corum who added 13. The Broncos D also came up big thanks to Sam Darnold. Goedert Done got help from Jordan Love and Javonte Williams along with receivers Jalen Coker and Ceedee Lamb. But they were not helped by starting Judkins of the Browns who didn’t even play. Pick 6 moves to 5-1 and Goedert Done drops to 2-4.
Chase’s Cherry Mash 101.96 over Rollin W Mahomes 101.58
This has to be the closest game of the year as Cherry Mash won by .38 points. It was a tough break for Rollin W Mahomes who lost last week’s game by less than 5 points. I predict he lose this week by .0001 points. Bryce Young and Jonathan Taylor couldn’t save his team from defeat. It’s been a nice little turn around for Cherry Mash who was the last team to win a game but now has won 2 in a row. Caleb Williams gave him 20 points and Marcus Golden added 19. And Dameon Pierce scored him 13 points because the Eagles literally had no one else to hand off to. Cherry Mash moves to 2-4 while Rollin W Mahomes drops to 3-3.
The G.I. Joes 139.68 over Stranger Things 73.96
The Joes were real American heroes this week not only winning but dominating and retaking their spot in first place. They had 4 players score 19 points or more including Tuten and Cook who both had 22 and Nabers who had 24. As for Stranger Things, it was strange how little they scored. Josh Allen gave them 22 points and Swift added 21 but the rest of the team was a no show. Too many injuries and bye weeks hurt them in this one. The Joes move to 5-1 while Stranger Things drops to 2-4.
I’ve got to say, this is a competitive league with only 3 of us above .500. It should be a crazy and unpredictable week 7.
Other Fantasy Teams:
While I didn’t have the week I was hoping for in this league I did go 3-2 over all. I’m now 4-2 in here and 4-2 in one of my money leagues and Danielle’s work league. I dropped to 3-3 in my oldest league and moved up to 2-4 in the family league. I need to keep winning in there to have a shot at making the playoffs but still feel pretty good in all my other leagues as I am first or second in points in all of them so I’ve been performing well just ran into a few wrong match ups. I’m projected to have a 46 to 78 percent chance of winning depending on the league heading into week 7. And if there is one thing we know, yahoo predictions are always accurate. My overall record is 17-13.
