Another week in the NFL has gone by. I hope everyone else’s week is off to a better start this week than Mike Williams who obviously should have ran to the red line and now is about to get dumped because the GM of the Jets also known as Aaron Rodgers, just traded for Davante Adams. We are a 3rd of the way through the season so with that in mind, this week we rank the teams based upon their chances of making the playoffs.
What is less than zero percent?: Jaguars and Browns
These teams are absolute garbage…on fire. They are a dumpster fire if the fire was filled with poop. The Jags can’t even win in London now. The Browns just traded away their one good offensive player.
Zero percent: Panthers, Patriots, Titans, Giants
These teams are all real bad but slightly better than a dumpster filled with poop on fire.
Raiders gonna Raider…also known as 1%:
The Raiders are slightly better than the rest of the teams already listed…I think.
If everyone heals up real, real fast they have an outside chance of making the playoffs or 5%: Dolphins and Rams
The Dolphins need their quarterback back. The Rams need everyone back. Neither is happening.
Gonna hang around for a little longer but have no real chance which is code for 10%: Cardinals, Saints, Broncos
Cardinals are fun, the Saints are more fun with Spencer Rattler and the Broncos are fun for about 8 minutes every game. Broncos have the best chance due to their schedule but still not looking good.
Could make it if they didn’t play any home games giving them a 25% chance: Cowboys
3-0 on the road and 0-3 at home. And not just 0-3 but just getting completely obliterated at home. It’s so fun.
Not good but somehow have a shot so 40-70%: Chargers, Steelers, Colts
The Steelers are 4 and 2 and so they are off to a good start. I said I thought whoever won the Chargers vs Broncos game would make the playoffs. The Chargers schedule is easier than the Broncos and they got the win. They sit at 3-2 and their next 4 games are the cardinals, saints, browns and titans. That looks like 7-2 to me. Then all they likely have to do is win 3-5 the second half of the season. The Colts would make the playoffs if they kept playing Shane Falco. But they won’t because they are idiots. But if Richardson gets hurt fast enough they still got a shot.
Not that good but better than the teams already listed so will probably make it 50%: Eagles, Seahawks
Both these teams at times seem like real contenders. Other times they are getting blown out by the 49ers or their coach is talking smack to their own fans after barely beating the Browns.
Will either make it to the AFC championship game or completely implode. either 3% or 80%: Bengals and Jets
These two teams are on track to make a run or be a complete disaster. I trust the Bengals more because of their schedule. They are just 2-4 but they have the browns, eagles and raiders next. Then the go to the ravens and the chargers but then finish with the Steelers twice, at the cowboys (we know that is a win), the browns again and then the titans and broncos. This has a team riding high into the playoffs written all over it. They could also finish 6-11. The Jets just got Davante Adams and he knows where the red line is so that should fix everything. Be sure to drop your stock in Wilson and Lazard because when Davante is on the field, Rodgers doesn’t throw to anyone else. This does usually lead to great regular season success though.
Will be in the hunt if they stay healthish. So they are probably out or 51%: 49ers
They don’t need all of their players to be healthy. But they do need some of them. So they are probably out. This is a team that may enter this week with their 4th string running back and their 3rd string kicker.
3 of these 4 teams are making it so 75% obviously: The NFC North
All 4 of these teams have 4 wins. They are all playing well. They also all have to play each other. Eventually something has to give. The Bears are the worst of the bunch but have the easiest schedule. I’m most confident in the Lions but any combination of 3 of these teams wouldn’t surprise me.
2 of these 2 teams are making it or 100% for at least one of them: Bucs and Falcons
One is going to win the division but the one that doesn’t still gets to play the Saints and the Panthers. They are both good teams and I think they both have a very high chance of making it.
Probably already won their divisions so 85%: Texans, Ravens, Bills, Commanders
Texans and Commanders get in by default because their divisions are a mess. Bills and Ravens don’t have a big lead but I haven’t seen anything to make me think they won’t make it.
Already hosting the AFC Championship 100%: Chiefs
The Chiefs are 5-0 and rolling despite playing that well. They have a tie breaker over the Ravens. I don’t see the Bills and Texans having as many wins as them even if they beat the Chiefs. Sounds like the return of the Arrowhead invitational to me.
